Germany to deport eight more Azerbaijani citizens

Germany’s Deggendorf City Administrative Court held a trial on the cases of a family of five people and three other Azerbaijanis who came to Germany in 2016 and applied for asylum. The court upheld the decision of the German Federal Office for Migration and Refugees to deport the eight Azerbaijani citizens, Report’s European bureau says.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the government postponed the deportation of Azerbaijani nationals indefinitely. Besides, the three Azerbaijani migrants who entered Germany illegally will have to pay a fine of 500 euros.
By the last quarter of this year, the country plans to expel over 4,000 asylum seekers, including Azerbaijani refugees.
