Georgian PM embarks on visit to Baku

The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili, embarks on a working visit to Azerbaijan, Report informs.
The Prime Minister was welcomed by the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Yagub Eyyubov, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Elnur Mammadov, and other officials at the Baku airport.
The Ambassador of Georgia to Azerbaijan, Zurab Pataradze, told journalists that cultural and humanitarian issues, green energy projects, submarine electric cables under the Black Sea, and energy security issues that will contribute to energy exports to Europe will be discussed at the planned meeting between the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, and Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili. At the same time, logistics issues, transport corridors, and the implementation of new projects in this direction will be considered.
The ambassador noted that one of the important issues is the expansion and completion of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway project.
