Georgian FM: "Hoping for return of Ukrainian envoy to Tbilisi soon"

"We hope that the Ukrainian ambassador will soon return to Georgia and continue his duties," Report’s local bureau informs that Georgian Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani told Imedi TV's Chronicle program.

He said he had a telephone conversation with his Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Kuleba a few hours after President Volodymyr Zelensky's statement on the recall of Ukraine's ambassador from Georgia.

David Zalkaliani said he was surprised by the recall of the ambassador: "Under current circumstances, I consider this decision hasty and a bit emotional. I asked for an in-depth analysis of the mood of this decision, both in our society and in the international community. This issue must be resolved in the near future in accordance with our strategic partnership."
