Baku. 4 October. REPORT.AZ/ Azerbaijan is really becoming closer to Europe in all directions.

Report informs, ambassador of Azerbaijan to Belgium, Fuad Isgandarov  said in his interview with the Euractiv.

"Azerbaijan is really becoming closer and closer to Europe in all directions", F. Isgandarov said.

According to him, Azerbaijan has established energy cooperation with Europe and cooperates in various joint energy projects, such as the Southern Gas Corridor, TAP, TANAP, the implementation of which is coming to an end.

"The more closer we are coming to EU, the more criticism we are hearing. But we are approaching the point of no return in our relations", the diplomat said.

The ambassador said that some forces actively impede the development of ties and rapprochement between Azerbaijan and Europe.

“In most of the cases this criticism is artificial and orchestrated from external forces. We know who is behind. The forces occupying territories of Azerbaijan and those behind this occupation are presenting my country as barbarian - this is clear”, F. Isgandarov added.
