Educational efforts to combat climate change need to be intensified, former Prime Minister of Belgium Yves Leterme said at the fifth panel discussion within the XI Global Baku Forum.
According to him, one of the key points to combat climate change is to increase funding: "Time is working against us. Therefore, it is necessary to take urgent measures. World countries are already faced with new challenges and problems. Countries’ defense spending is growing."
The former prime minister noted that in different countries there are different points of view among people regarding climate change and environmental protection.
