Former ambassador of Belarus to Azerbaijan Gennady Akhramovich has died from the consequences of COVID at the age of 56, Report informs.

The embassy of Belarus in Azerbaijan has confirmed this information.

Gennady Akhramovich has been working at the Belarusian Foreign Ministry since 1995.

In 1997-2000, he was the first secretary of the embassy in Latvia, in 2003-2009, the consul general in Daugavpils (Latvia), in 2009-2015, the ambassador-at-large. From 2015 to 2020, he was the ambassador to Azerbaijan. Andrey Ravkov replaced him in this post.

In December, 2020, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received Ambassador of Belarus to Azerbaijan Gennady Akhramovich in connection with the completion of his diplomatic mission.
