​FM: Azerbaijan is mostly interested in improvement of Russian-Turkish relations

Baku. 18 March. REPORT.AZ/ "Azerbaijan, which has such good relations with Russia and Turkey, is only mostly interested in full normalization of Russian-Turkish relations as soon as possible."

Report informs, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov said in his interview to 'Kommersant' newspaper. 

Talking about what mediating role Baku plays in this matter, Mammadyarov said: "In any case, I am discussing this issue with both the Turkish and Russian colleagues. After an extremely unpleasant incident when the Turkish Air Forces downed the Russian plane, we have repeatedly touched upon this issue with Sergey Lavrov. The sooner we realize that we need to overcome what had happened and move on, the better for everyone."
