FM: Azerbaijan hopes for speedy completion of negotiations on new agreement with EU

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has met with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense of Latvia Artis Pabriks, Report informs referring to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.

During the meeting, satisfaction was expressed with the current level of relations between the two countries and an exchange of views was held on the prospects for further development of their relations.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov noted that Azerbaijan attaches special importance to relations with Latvia and successfully continues cooperation between the two countries in bilateral and multilateral planes.

In turn, Latvian Defense Minister Artis Pabriks noted that Azerbaijan is a strategic partner for his country.

At the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the situation in Ukraine, humanitarian assistance provided by Azerbaijan to Ukraine, as well as other regional issues of mutual interest.
