The threat posed by FETÖ (Fethullahist Terrorist Organization) continues to loom large, according to Telman Nusratoglu, director of the Turkish-Islamic Studies Center at Khazar University. Nusratoglu made this stark declaration during a conference commemorating the victims of the July 15, 2016 coup attempt in Türkiye.
Report informs that he highlighted a concerning trend: "FETÖ is currently finding patronage in Western countries, with major institutions established in America."
The expert emphasized the broader implications of FETÖ's activities: "This terrorist organization poses a danger to the Turkic world. Therefore, the efforts of Azerbaijan and Türkiye alone are insufficient in combating this organization."
Shedding light on the scale of the threat, Nusratoglu revealed, "They have more than 2,000 institutions worldwide."
Nusratoglu concluded with a call to action: "Unity is necessary in the fight against FETÖ. The danger from FETÖ persists."
