Farid Shafiyev: Azerbaijan and Georgia should create discussion mechanism

"Center for International Relations Analysis of Azerbaijan plans to work extensively with think tanks in Georgia," head of the center Farid Shafiyev told journalists in Tbilisi.

He said that the meeting held at the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies (Rondeli Foundation) was very informative and helpful: “We had a useful exchange of ideas with our Georgian friends. We also discussed the situation in the region, international relations and of course, bilateral relations.”

Shafiyev noted that the UNCC plans to hold talks with other think tanks in Georgia:

“Georgia and Azerbaijan are strategic partners. From time to time, certain problems may arise between neighboring countries. Discussion of problem-solving mechanism should be established to address some minor problems. The think tanks will be in charge of discussing these problems, seeking ways out of the situation, press coverage and other issues”.
