During the period of independence, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan have made great progress in all spheres of life, political scientist Tofik Abbasov said at the round table devoted to the Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan relations and regional integration.
"Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan for the period of independence have achieved great progress in all spheres of life. One of the reasons for this is stability in our countries. Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan should further join hands for regional cooperation, " he said.
Commenting on the presidential elections in Kazakhstan, which will be held on June 9, the political expert did not rule out that "the percentage of continuing the course of Nursultan Nazarbayev is very high, because if the previous has worked well, then there is no need to change it."
In turn, political expert Ilgar Velizade believes that Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan have a lot in common, including the countries have historical fraternal ties. Today they are implementing a number of important projects of regional significance attracting foreign countries.
In addition, the political scientist stressed that an important link in the development of Azerbaijani-Kazakh relations is the firm and clear position of Kazakhstan on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, "expressed in recognition of the territorial integrity and inviolability of the borders of Azerbaijan."
