EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus Toivo Klaar will visit the South Caucasus, including Azerbaijan, in the coming days, press secretary of the European Council President Charles Michel Barend Leyts said.

The visit will take place as part of the ongoing talks between Armenia and Azerbaijan on ensuring stability and security, discussing a future peace agreement, and EU support for confidence-building measures between the parties.

In the context of recent tensions between Armenia and Azerbaijan, President of the Council of the European Union (EU) Charles Michel reiterated the EU's commitment to deepening cooperation with both countries to promote a secure, stable, peaceful, and prosperous South Caucasus.
