EU leaders to discuss situation in South Caucasus

The leaders of the EU countries will discuss the situation in the South Caucasus, President of the European Council Charles Michel said in an invitation letter to the members of the European Council, Report informs.

He said in his letter that at the summit planned for October 26–27 in Brussels, they will discuss issues related to foreign policy, including Pristina-Belgrade relations and the situation in the South Caucasus.

According to him, the meeting comes at a time of great global instability and insecurity, exacerbated most recently by developments in the Middle East: “These developments require our immediate attention, without distracting us from our continued support to Ukraine. Our responsibility is to remain united and coherent and to act in line with our values as enshrined in the Treaties.”
