EU Council extends mandate of Special Representative for South Caucasus

The EU Council has extended the mandate of the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and Crisis in Georgia Toivo Klaar for another 12 months, until February 28, 2022, Report informs referring to the press service of the EU Council.
Klaar was appointed to this position in November 2017.
Earlier it was reported that the EU special representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia will visit Azerbaijan in the near future.
During the visit, Klaar will hold meetings with a number of officials of the country.
