Baku. 18 April. REPORT.AZ/ Since 2007, European Union has allocated EUR 90 mln for 70 civil organizations in Azerbaijan.
Report informs, Head of EU office in Azerbaijan told at the conference "Legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan on NGOs and its alignment with European standards".
According to her, these funds was allocated for various projects, such as the employment of women in rural areas, trainings for journalists and social workers. She added that the EU intends to continue cooperation in this direction.
The envoy informed that EU has funded about EUR 10.5 mln to education and employment projects in the field: “These projects work for the well-being of Azerbaijan civil society”.
M. Mard thanked the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan, Ministry of Justice and the Parliament for cooperation.
