Erdogan warns Armenia over Zangazur corridor, announces new route

If Armenia does not agree to the opening of the Zangazur road, the road will pass through Iran, and Iran is interested in this issue, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in an interview with journalists on his return from an official visit to Azerbaijan, Report informs.

“Our will is to open these places by turning them into a corridor of peace. It is impossible to imagine a corridor where war still reigns. Because if we want to consider both Zangazur and Lachin corridors as peace corridors, we must solve this issue without any conflict or noise. The train from Türkiye will pass through Armenia and go to Azerbaijan. If Yerevan does not agree to this issue, the road will pass through Iran. Iran's current approach to this issue is positive, and therefore there will now be an opportunity to move to Azerbaijan through Iran,” he said.
