Establishing connections between Nakhchivan and other Azerbaijani districts is vital, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at the 8th summit of the Turkic Council, Report informs.

"We need to increase trade and mutual investment continuously. I attach great importance to signing strategic documents on simplifying trade. We need to remove the problem with transit documents from the agenda and lead transit payments to a competitive level. We need to sign an agreement on international cargo transportations as soon as possible," Erdogan noted.

The Turkish leader said that the International Transport Corridor East-West, establishing Nakhchivan's connections with other Azerbaijani districts, is vital.
