For 14 days, Azerbaijan supported Turkey in every possible way, and for this Ankara, first of all, thanks President Ilham Aliyev, Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Cahit Bagci said, Report informs.
The ambassador noted that from the very beginning of the outbreak of forest fires in Turkey, Azerbaijan provided its support and sent assistance.
“Azerbaijan has been providing support since July 31. Currently, 750 of our Azerbaijani brothers are involved in extinguishing fires. They have been fighting fires for 14 days. I am grateful to each of them individually and wish them to return to their families safe and sound,” the ambassador emphasized.
He expressed gratitude for the video projection of the Turkish flag on the building of the Heydar Aliyev Center.
“Today, the Turkish flag is waving at the Heydar Aliyev Center. This, in turn, is another support for Azerbaijan, and I thank all our brothers for it,” Bagci said.
