Deputy Minister: Azerbaijan is interested in strengthening trade with Tajikistan

Baku. 21 November. REPORT.AZ/ “Azerbaijan pays great attention to the issue of increasing trade turnover with Tajikistan,” Deputy Economy Minister Rufat Mammadov said.

Report informs that he spoke at a conference dedicated to the construction of the Rogun HPP in Tajikistan.

He noted that Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon's visit to Azerbaijan in August this year also contributed to the strengthening of relations between the countries.

"A number of important documents were signed by results of the visit. We believe that it raised our cooperation to a qualitatively new level," Mammadov said.

The Deputy Minister also stressed that the launch of the Rogun HPP in Tajikistan would play an important role in strengthening the integration of the countries of the region and allow Tajikistan to expand its cooperation in the international arena.
