Deputy FM: Armenia's attempts to have harsh decisions made against Azerbaijan failed

"Taking into consideration the end of the occupation and the conflict after the Great Patriotic War, Azerbaijan offered Armenia to sign a peace agreement, solve the issues of delimitation and demarcation in a bilateral format, subject to mutual recognition of territorial integrity," Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Elnur Mammadov said at a press conference on the denial of Armenia's lawsuit against Azerbaijan in the International Court of Justice.

"The Sochi statement of November 26 also envisages work on establishing a bilateral commission. This call also coincides with the political agenda of Azerbaijan. Thus, Armenia's attempts to gain political points against Azerbaijan at this stage by having harsh decisions made in the International Court of Justice failed. We will now follow this process in a longer stage," he added.
