The Cuban government continues to implement its national climate adaptation and mitigation program, Tarea Vida ("Task of Life"), aimed at addressing the impacts of climate change across the country, Antonio Corbelo said during a panel discussion held within the framework of WUF13 in Baku, as quoted by Report.
"As part of this program, special attention is being paid to the most vulnerable cities, while preventive measures are being taken in preparation for emergencies and natural disasters," he said.
According to Antonio Corbelo, Cuba is also implementing support programs for mountainous and remote regions, alongside social initiatives aimed at assisting women, single mothers, the elderly, and children with disabilities.
"All these measures are being implemented through various направления of Cuba's New Urban Agenda and continue to evolve," Corbelo concluded.
