Azerbaijan plays a significant role in Europe's energy security and is also a partner of Croatia in the energy sector, Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, attending the EU–Western Balkans Summit in Tivat, told Report's Balkan bureau.
Plenković highlighted that energy routes - particularly those within the Middle Corridor - are crucial for the security of energy supply across the European Union.
"Azerbaijan and other Caucasus countries, as well as Central Asian states, play an important role in this field. That is why Croatia's cooperation in energy with both the Caucasus and Central Asia is steadily expanding and developing," the Prime Minister emphasized.
