Baku. 29 November. REPORT.AZ/ The Consular Section of the Embassy of Mexico to Baku has started issuing visas for citizens of Azerbaijan.
Report informs, Mexican Ambassador Rodrigo Labardini told reporters.
"Tourism is an important sector for all countries, including Azerbaijan and Mexico. It has impact on economic development. Issuing visas is an important factor in the development of our countries", R.Labardini said.
According to him, every year 32 million tourists visit Mexico and the country ranked ninth in the world for tourist flow.
The ambassador added that the consular section has been operating since September 2015.
R.Labardini stressed that the embassy issues business, student and tourist visas, differing for conditions and duration of stay.
"Tourist visas will be issued in two to three days. This isn't a single entry visa and issued for a period of 6 months. The fee is 36 USD. Duration of stay is defined after arrival at the Mexican Migration Service", he said.
The ambassador added that if a Schengen or US visa is available, there is no need to get Mexico visa.
According to him, last year, 148 Azerbaijani citizens travelled to Mexico and some of them again wants to visit the country: "We have all the necessary equipments required for taking of biometric parameters", R. Labardini added.
