Clive Marshall: Global Forum provides opportunity to mull challenges facing media

The Shusha Global Forum provided an opportunity to discuss contemporary challenges facing the media, PA Media Group CEO Clive Marshall told Report.

He noted that a number of important issues were discussed at the meetings held.

Professional journalists must check the facts and provide objective information. Of course, people live in a difficult time when new technologies and social networks form the main part of their lives, he said.

Sometimes these opportunities are used to spread fake news. However, despite the changes and new opportunities, traditional, professional journalism has a great future, he added.
