CICA deputy sec.-gen.: Women play important role in combating global challenges

Women play an important role in combating global challenges, Deputy Secretary General of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) Zhang Ling said at the international conference on empowering women in Baku, Report informs.

She noted that according to global statistics, women account for more than 43% of those working in agriculture.

“Women help us be prepared for global challenges. In addition to agriculture, they play a significant role in the field of food safety and medicine. They are also actively involved in the transition to a green economy,” she added.
