Chairman of State Duma: It’s necessary to intensify cooperation between parliament committees of Russia and Azerbaijan

Baku.25 June. REPORT.AZ / "There is certainly potential for development in our inter-parliamentary relations. We hope that as a result of the visit will be the agreements which allow to bring them to the inter-regional level within the parliamentary dimension and give impulse to the development of relations between our peoples". Report informs citing the press service of the State Duma of Russia, the Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin told during his visit to Azerbaijan.

He reminded that this visit to Azerbaijan - the first for the delegation of the state Duma of the seventh convocation, and the parliamentarians of the two states is expected to solve many issues raised by the presidents of the two countries.

"The heads of our States meet quite often, they discuss crucial issues, the development of our relations. The task of parliaments is to provide legislative solutions that are achieved at the level of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Azerbaijani President Ilham Heydar Aliyev. Therefore, it is also a priority in our work," Vyacheslav Volodin stressed.

According to the Chairman of the state Duma, it is necessary to consider the issue of holding a joint conference in 2019 within the framework of interregional cooperation. It is also necessary to intensify the interaction of the committees of parliaments of Russia and Azerbaijan, Vyacheslav Volodin said.
