Baku. 8 October. REPORT.AZ/ The Chairman of Milli Mejlis Ogtay Asadov received the delegation led by a member of the British House of Lords, Prime Ministerial Trade Envoy Lord Richard Risby.

Report informs, Deputy Chairman of Milli Mejlis Valeh Alasgarov, the head of Parliament Apparatus Sefa Mirzayev, Azernaijani Ambassador to Britain Tahir Taghizada and other officials attended the meeting.

O. Asadov said that the relations between two countries was built on a solid foundation. He noted that Azerbaijan attached great importance to the deepening of relations with Great Britain as one of the first countries that recognized its independence: “Our political, economic and humanitarian cooperation is increasing. Parliaments of the two countries contribute to the deepening of the relations. The mutual visits of delegations, the talks held during regular meetings of deputies in international parliamentary organizations share common goals. We believe that our relations will develop further in the future.”

Prime Ministerial Trade Envoy Lord Richard Risby noted the development of economic and cultural relations between the two countries and appreciated the stability in Azerbaijan.
