    Chairman of Georgian Parliament will pay a visit to Azerbaijan

    Irakli Kobakhidze: Georgian side is interested in development of inter-parliamentary relations

    Tbilisi. 21 December. REPORT.AZ/ Chairman of the Georgian Parliament Irakli Kobakhidze will visit Azerbaijan in 2017.

    Irakli Kobakhidze told Georgian bureau of Report.

    He said that preparatory work has already started in this regard.

    "There is a long history of friendship between Azerbaijani and Georgian peoples. Relations between our countries are very high. The newly elected parliament will increase efforts to further expand these relations," Kobakhidze said.

    The speaker added that Azerbaijan is a strategic partner of Georgia: "We will try to further develop and strengthen friendly and brotherly relations between our states, peoples and parliaments".

    He stressed effective cooperation of MPs in the international organizations and said that the Georgian side is interested in the development of inter-parliamentary relations.
