Cahit Bagci: We won't forget history

An event on the occasion of the 103rd anniversary of Baku’s liberation from occupation was held at the Turkish Embassy in Azerbaijan, Report informs.

The ceremony began with a minute of silence.

Then the national anthems of Azerbaijan and Turkey were played.

Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Cahit Bagci said: “Throughout history, we had martyrs in Anadolu, the Balkans, Syria, Karabakh. We honor their memory. The brotherhood of Azerbaijan and Turkey has always existed and will continue to live.”

“Great leader Heydar Aliyev had one testament: he also wanted to see Karabakh free. Fortunately, today Karabakh is already free. Before and after the war, we, as brothers, have always been and will be next to Azerbaijan. We won’t forget history,” he noted.
