Ambassador: UK is confident that relations with Azerbaijan will strengthen after Brexit

"Our relations with Azerbaijan are very strong”.

The UK Ambassador to Azerbaijan James Sharp said to Report, commenting how the Brexit can impact the relations with Azerbaijan.

" Our relations are based on bilateral ties. I do not think that they are determined through our membership in the EU. I am sure they will be further strengthened. And we are looking at starting negotiations on a new UK-Azerbaijan agreement, " Ambassador said.
