The spokesman for the Department of State said that Blinken and Lavrov also discussed issues of cooperation that would represent the mutual interests of the two countries. They exchanged views on strategic stability, the nuclear programs of Iran and North Korea, and the situation in Afghanistan. "The Secretary of State and the Foreign Minister agreed to continue discussions in the future," he said.
Lavrov said that the sides would present the report on the meeting to US President Joseph Biden and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
