Baku to host first EU-Azerbaijan security dialogue

Baku. 19 October. REPORT.AZ/ Azerbaijan and the European Union will hold the first security dialogue, Report was told by the Head of the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan, Ambassador Kestutis Jankauskas.

The diplomat noted that the meeting will be held in Baku on October 29-30. The EU delegation will be headed by Secretary General of the European Union for External Action Service John Christoph Bellard.

"We are now at the stage of coordination of topics. These will be extensive consultations involving a variety of security issues,”  Ambassador said.

Earlier, the country's foreign ministry announced the creation of a dialogue mechanism on security and energy issues between the European Union and Azerbaijan.
