Baku to host conference of OIC labor ministers

The 5th Conference of Ministers of Labor of the Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) will be held in Baku this year, Report informs.

The matter was discussed at a meeting with the OIC delegation at the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Azerbaijan.

Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Azerbaijan Anar Karimov highlighted Azerbaijan's successful experience of cooperation over the past period with the OIC, as well as with other authoritative structures that unite Muslim countries. He noted that Azerbaijan has established mutually beneficial relations with the Islamic world and made an important contribution to strengthening Islamic solidarity in the world.

It was noted that the second conference of labor ministers of the OIC member countries was also organized in Baku. It was emphasized that within the framework of this conference, President Ilham Aliyev initiated the creation of the OIC Labor Center with headquarters in Baku, and this initiative was unanimously supported by the OIC member countries.

At the meeting, issues of organizing the conference were discussed, and a corresponding document was signed.
