Baku strongly condemns Yerevan's attempts to disrupt fragile peace by shelling Azerbaijani positions

The press service of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has released a statement on the shelling of Azerbaijani Army positions in the direction of the Sadarak region of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of the state border by Armenian armed forces.

Report informs that the statement reads:

"As the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan informed, on July 14, 2021, Armenian armed forces shelled the Azerbaijani army positions in the direction of the Sadarak Region of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic at the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border and wounded one Azerbaijani serviceman as a result. We strongly condemn Armenia's attempts to disrupt fragile peace in the region by shelling Azerbaijani positions. At a time when Azerbaijan is taking steps to ensure peace, cooperation, and sustainable development in the region, such a destructive approach by Armenia is unacceptable. Armenia bears the whole responsibility for such developments in the region."
