Baku plays host to XIX meeting of Council of Heads of CIS Migration Bodies

Baku. 12 October.REPORT.AZ/ XIX meeting of the Council of Heads of Migration Bodies (CHMB) of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) member states kicked off in Baku.

Report informs, 18 issues were included in the agenda of the XIX meeting of the Council of Heads of Migration Bodies (CHMB) of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) member states.

The meeting is attended by the delegations, led by Head of Department on Work with law-enforcement bodies of Presidential Administration of the Republic of AzerbaijanFuad Alasgarov, Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee - Executive Secretary Sergei Nikolayevich Lebedev, First Deputy Interior Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Gorovoy, Minister of Labor, Migration and Employment of the Republic of Tajikistan Sumangul Said Tagoyzoda, Deputy Interior Minister of the Republic of Belarus Nikolai Melcenko, Deputy Chief of the State Migration Service of the Republic of Turkmenistan Mered Meredov, Deputy Chairman of the Labor, Social Protection and Migration Committee of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aslan Karzhaubaev, Chief of the Legal Support and International Cooperation Department of the State Service on Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic Chingiz Saribeyov.

Notably, the Council of Heads of Migration Bodies (CHMB) of the CIS member states has been established according to the decision of the Council of CIS Heads of State dated October 5, 2007.

The CHMB includes heads of the authorities responsible for migration issues of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Armenia and the Russian Federation.

Notably, VIII meeting of the council was held in Baku from September 28 to 30, 2010.
