Baku hosts international conference on French colonial policy - UPDATED

The international conference on "Neocolonialism: violation of human rights and injustice" has ended in Baku, Report informs.

Representatives from 14 countries, as well as French overseas territories and Corsica, participated in the conference organized by the Baku Initiative Group.

The speakers accused France of interfering in the internal affairs of former colonial states.

At the same time, the facts of ethnic cleansing and serious violations of human rights in the states and territories under the colonial rule of France were brought to attention.

At the conference, a photo exhibition portraying severe torture and human rights violations by France against the local population in the colonies was showcased.
