Azerbaijani PM Ali Asadov visits United Arab Emirates

Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov visited Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, Report informs, citing the Cabinet of Ministers.

At Abu Dhabi International Airport, Prime Minister Ali Asadov was welcomed by the UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail Al Mazroui. During a brief meeting with Suhail Al Mazroui, Prime Minister Ali Asadov expressed his condolences over the death of a prominent statesman, the President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Prime Minister Ali Asadov later met with UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at the UAE President's residence. On behalf of the President, Government and people of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ali Asadov expressed deep condolences to the UAE President on the death of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

It was noted that Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan had made an outstanding contribution to the development of Azerbaijan-UAE relations. At the same time, they expressed confidence that under the leadership of the new President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the United Arab Emirates will flourish and Azerbaijan-UAE relations will continue to thrive.

Prime Minister Ali Asadov also met with Vice President, Prime Minister and Emir of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and expressed his deep condolences.

The successful development of relations between the two countries was emphasized at the meetings, and confidence was expressed in the further expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields.
