Azerbaijani MFA: No Azerbaijani citizens among victims of Mexico quake

Baku. 20 September. REPORT.AZ/ There are no Azerbaijani citizens among victims of the earthquake occurred in Mexico.

Hikmat Hajiyev, spokesperson for the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry (MFA) said.

According to him, Azerbaijani Embassy to Mexico continues to function normally. A few Azerbaijani citizens were registered in the embassy's consular section: "Several Azerbaijani families live in Mexico. The embassy has contacted them after the quake".

Notably, 226 people were killed, many houses collapsed in earthquake of magnitude 7 in Mexico.
