Azerbaijani MFA congratulates Luxembourg

The Ministry of the Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan has congratulated Luxembourg on the National Holiday, Report says, citing the congratulatory message posted on the official Twitter page of the ministry.

"It is with great pleasure we congratulate and wish strong health, happiness, and everlasting prosperity to the friendly people of Luxembourg on the occasion of the National Holiday," the congratulatory message reads. 

Luxembourg recognized the independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan on December 31, 1991, and the two countries established diplomatic relations on June 1, 1992.

Mr. Heydar Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan, paid a working visit to Luxembourg to attend the signing ceremony of the Treaty on Partnership and Cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the European Union. During the visit, Mr. Heydar Aliyev met with the Grand Duke Jean and the business community of Luxembourg to discuss the ways of promoting bilateral relations.
