Azerbaijani leader: "Armenia has no military capability to stop us"

"For more than a year after the end of the war, Armenia made several attempts to commit military provocations on the state border. All of them failed," Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said in an interview with the Spanish newspaper El Pais in Brussels on December 14, Report informs.

The head of state said that due to all these efforts, Armenians lost their military positions, and Azerbaijan strengthened its positions on the state border. "The same thing happened last month. At that time, they deliberately committed provocation against the Azerbaijani army, and it continued for several days. During the first days, no shooting was launched because the Azerbaijani soldiers explained to them that the area did not belong to them and that they had to leave, and they left. However, they attacked us using artillery. Several people were killed and wounded. Now the situation is stable. We did not plan anything. Otherwise, we wouldn't have stopped. The clashes on November 16 lasted less than a day. They started in the morning and ended at around 6-7 p.m. So if we had planned, we would not have stopped because Armenia has no military capability to stop us anywhere. We do not have such plans, and that's why we stopped."
