Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry urges Dutch side to abandon its unilateral position

"We resolutely reject the draft resolution adopted by the Dutch parliament against Azerbaijan, we call on the Dutch side to abandon its unilateral position and be guided in its decisions by the norms and principles of international law," Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry spokesperson Aykhan Hajizade said while answering a question from representatives of local media, Report informs.

He said that in previous years, completely biased resolutions against Azerbaijan were adopted by the Dutch parliament, which do not reflect reality: looting and vandalism is an example of another slanderous campaign against the country.

"Along with this, the ministry would like to remind the Dutch side that after the 2020 war, Armenia, grossly violating the commitments assumed under the tripartite statements, did not completely withdraw the Armenian armed formations from the territory of Azerbaijan, continued planting mines in the Azerbaijani territories, increased militarization in the border areas, prevented the opening of transport communications and began destructive actions against the peace process."
