The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has extended its condolences over the fire at a hospital for coronavirus patients in the Nasiriya city of Iraq.

Report informs that the message was posted on the official Twitter page of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.

"Deeply saddened by a deadly blaze at the Al-Hussein hospital in the Nasiriya city of Iraq. Our heartfelt condolences go to the families of the victims of a fire and the People of Iraq. We stand together with the Government and People of Iraq in these hard times," the message reads.

The death toll in a fire in a hospital for patients with coronavirus in the city of Nasiriya has risen to 77. Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazimi declared mourning for the victims, instructing to create a special commission to investigate all the circumstances of the tragedy.
