Azerbaijani FM: Current status quo in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is unreliable, unstable and unacceptable

Baku. 1 June. REPORT.AZ/ Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov during the visit to Brussels, hasmet with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

Report was told in the press service of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the ministers at the meeting expressed their satisfaction with development of partnership between Azerbaijan and NATO.

'Current status quo in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is unreliable, unstable and unacceptable', Azerbaijani Foreign Minister stated. 

The sides praised development of partnership between Azerbaijan and NATO. The parties also applauded active participation of Azerbaijan in NATO`s Individual Partnership Action Plan, Operational Capabilities Concept, and Planning and Review Process.

The sides also stressed the role of Azerbaijan in ensuring the energy security of Europe, as well as successful implementation of the TANAP, TAP projects.

E.Mammadyarov highlighted the cause and consequences of the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, adding Vienna meeting created a fruitful opportunity for beginning of the substantive negotiations.

They exchanged views over the regional and international issues, as well as the prospects of relations between Azerbaijan and NATO.
