Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister discusses Geneva Conference on Afghanistan with Charge d'Affaires

Baku. 12 November. REPORT.AZ/ Azerbaijan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Araz Azimov met with Chargé d’affaires of Afghanistan to Azerbaijan Afzal Ahmadi.

Report informs citing the press service of the Embassy of Afghanistan in Azerbaijan that during the meeting the sides discussed the parliamentary elections held in Afghanistan, as well as the upcoming ministerial conference on Afghanistan in Geneva.

Ahmadi informed Azimov about the Geneva Conference and noted its importance for Afghanistan. In turn, the deputy minister expressed confidence that Azerbaijan, through its participation in this conference, would also be able to contribute to the cause of assistance to Afghanistan.

Notably, the ministerial conference on Afghanistan in Geneva is scheduled for the end of November. More than 60 countries are expected to attend.
