Sofia. 17 May. REPORT.AZ/ "We have signed visa facilitation and readmission agreement with the European Union (EU) 1-2 years ago.

The Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Mahmud Mammadguliyev told the Eastern European bureau of Report News Agency.

He said that the third meeting of the Steering Committee will be held with participation of the parties in near future. According to him, the meeting will discuss the lifting of visa requirement between Azerbaijan and EU.

M. Mammadguliyev believes, there are some issues that need to be removed: “I would like to resolve all these issues after the third meeting and eliminate all the mutual reproaches between the EU and Azerbaijan. If there are no reproaches we will begin dialogue and negotiations on lifting of visa requirement with the EU. The talks will be on implementation of the action plan prepared by them. After the execution of the plan, we will be able to introduce visa-free regime. It will definitely happen, but some time needed."
