Azerbaijani and Georgian presidents signed a Joint Declaration

Baku. 6 November. REPORT.AZ/ An official welcoming ceremony for President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has been held at the residence of the Georgian President, Report informs.

A guard of honor was arranged for President Ilham Aliyev in the square decorated with the national flags of Azerbaijan and Georgia.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev was welcomed by President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili.

The chief of the guard of honor reported to the Azerbaijani President.

A military orchestra played the national anthems of Azerbaijan and Georgia.

The presidents reviewed the guard of honor.

State and government officials of Georgia were introduced to President Ilham Aliyev, and members of the Azerbaijani delegation were introduced to President Giorgi Margvelashvili.

Then the heads of state met with foreign ambassadors accredited in Tbilisi.

Following the official welcoming ceremony, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili have held a one-on-one meeting.

The sides expressed satisfaction with the successful development of bilateral relations in various fields. The importance of the Azerbaijani President`s official visit to Georgia was emphasized in terms of the expansion of the bilateral ties. They expressed confidence that the relations between the two countries would develop even further.

The sides exchanged views over the issues of international, bilateral and mutual interest.
