Azerbaijani Ambassador visits area of strong forest fire in Georgia

Baku. 29 August. REPORT.AZ/ Azerbaijani Ambassador to Georgia Dursun Hasanov and the Azerbaijani Embassy employees visited the place of strong forest fires in the Borjomi gorge.

Report was told in the Embassy, Azerbaijani diplomats got acquainted with the situation after the localization of the fire.

The prime minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili and other members of the fire brigade headquarters informed in detail about the work done.

Notably, a fire in the national park of Borjomi broke out about two weeks ago.The fire, due to hot weather and strong winds, began to spread strongly and Georgia appealed for help to its neighbors. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan has allocated firefighting equipment and live force.

The fire was localized last week, in connection with which the Azerbaijani Ministry of Emergency Situations employees returned to the country on August 28.
