Azerbaijan will assist 12 African countries

Baku. 3 April. REPORT.AZ/ Representative of the Azerbaijan İnternational Development Agency (AIDA) participated in the 43rd Annual Meeting of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) in Tunisia on April 2.

Report was informed in the press service of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).

Within the framework of the event, a document was signed by the other partners of the AIDA and the Alliance to Fight Avoidable Blindness (AFAB).

Thus, the campaign will cover the 2018-2022 years and second stage, to be implemented in 12 African countries has launched.

According to the Ministry, as a result of the first phase of the campaign in 2012-2015 years, more than 56,000 people suffering from cataracts in the African Union have been restored, and eyes of more than 300,000 people have been examined.
