Azerbaijan is second largest foreign trade partner of Georgia

Baku. 22 May. REPORT.AZ/ For first 4 months of this year, Georgia ranked 2nd among foreign trade partners.

Report informs citing the Georgian media, the State Statistics Office of Georgia declares.

According to the report, for January-April 2015 the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Georgia amounted to 286.6 million dollars, or 9.6% of foreign trade turnover.

Turkey took the first place in this area during the reporting period. In the first 4 months, the trade turnover between the two countries amounted to 476 million dollars, or 15.8% of Georgia's foreign trade turnover.

Russia's trade turnover declined by 13% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 219 million dollars.That is 7.3% of Georgia's foreign trade turnover in four months.

According to the information, Georgia's foreign trade turnover in January-April this year amounted to 3 billion, 15 million dollars or 13% less comparing with the same period of 2014.
