A delegation led by Azerbaijan's Deputy Foreign Minister Fariz Rzayev paid a working visit to Slovenia to participate in the Bled Strategic Forum, Report informs, citing Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry.
Speaking at a panel dedicated to the global economy within the framework of the forum, Rzayev provided information about the large-scale energy projects implemented by Azerbaijan and the country's contribution to the energy security of European nations. He also highlighted Azerbaijan's crucial role in establishing and operating international transport corridors.
Rzayev emphasized that these activities are of particular importance in transforming the South Caucasus into a safe, prosperous, and developed region.
During the visit, Rzayev also met with Marko Stucin, State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs. The meeting focused on current issues on the bilateral cooperation agenda between Azerbaijan and Slovenia, including intensifying political dialogue and developing collaboration in various fields such as economy. Both sides stressed the necessity of leveraging the existing potential to further expand ties.
Rzayev briefed his counterpart on the post-conflict situation in the region, the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and Armenia's non-constructive position.
